For all of us who are in a daily rush, this innovative short dog harness empowers eager dogs to pull without restrictions.

Slip the neck opening over your dog’s head and secure the side buckles, your dog and you will be on the trails in a heartbeat.

The Rush harness is designed for all activities with a high pulling point, such as canicross, bikejoring, skijoring, or hiking. It is also ideal for your daily walks or to introduce your dog to pulling sports.

We used our best-selling Freemotion tech developed through years of experience in dog-powered sports, to create a unique harness promoting natural movement for everyday active dogs.

The Y-shaped front allows free shoulder movement and minimal breathing constraints. The pull force is evenly distributed over your dog’s body without putting pressure on their spine.

Every material is meticulously selected for its durability and comfort. The Hexivent material increases breathability. The design and soft lining ensure there are no rough edges, with all stitches oriented so their softer side faces your dog's skin, reducing the risk of irritation and chafing.

The extensive range of sizes combined with adjustable side straps and back loop allows big, small, and short-back dogs to wear it.

The Rush harness comes in colors black/orange and teal. This short dog harness is available in sizes 1-8.

FAQ

How do I measure my dog for the Rush harness?

The size finder on the product's page will help you find the correct size for your dog. Based on your dog’s weight and breed, simply fill in your dog’s numbers and a size will be suggested for you. If your dog is a mixed breed, use the closest breed in terms of shape. With this tool, you will also see if your dog is close to going one size up or down. If your dog is in between sizes, we recommend you choose the bigger size for small/medium dogs (up to size 6) in particular.

The harness’s dimensions are available on the product page if needed.

If the harness does not fit, you can exchange the harness for the right size. Visit this page to read more about returns and exchange.

How do I adjust and fit the Rush harness?

When going through this checklist, your dog should stand up, and the harness should be held in a pulling position.

1 - Neck

You should be able to fit at least two fingers vertically between the top of your dog’s neck and the harness for a medium-sized dog (sizes 4-6). A bit less for smaller dogs, more for bigger dogs.

Important!

Fingers on top of each other, between your dog’s neck and the harness.

2 - Chest

For medium-sized dogs, you should be able to fit at least two fingers vertically between your dog’s chest and the harness. Adjust on both sides, as even as possible. After initial adjustment for your dog, lock the chest straps by simply threading the end of the strap back through the slip lock.

Buckles

3 - Armpits

Make sure there is room for your dog to move freely.

Tip!

If you find it hard to take the harness on/off, twist it sideways when pulling it over your dog’s head.

4 – Chest bone

The lowest point of the neck opening should be at your dog’s chest bone.

5 - Ribs

The side straps should lie on your dog’s rib cage, not further back than the last rib bone.

6 – Attachment point

Adjust the leash attachment rope so it starts right above the base of your dog’s tail.

Important!
Ensure the knots on the leash attachment rope are tight before every use.

Tips!

This point is most relevant for short-back dogs wearing a large-size harness.

Can I use the Rush harness with a big and strong dog?

The Rush harness is designed to provide freedom of movement and unrestricted breathing while pulling. It can be used for short distances with strong dogs.

For optimal comfort over long distances, we recommend the Freemotion harness 5.0.

Which spare parts are available for the Rush harness?

We want you to have your harness for many years. Therefore parts that are exposed to wear and tear are available for purchase. You can find replacement buckles and end-loop in this section of our website.

Which knot is used on the back piece, and how do I tie it?

The knot at the rope on the back piece is called a Fisherman’s knot. Tighten the knots before using the Rush harness for the first time.
