As a kid Marcel wanted a dog, and his parents bought him a husky when he was 15. While a friend of Katarína rescued a dog who would not stop pulling, so they tried bikejoring together with their labrador. She met Marcel on races, and since then they have been racing together for over 10 years.

It was Katarína’s first ESD. This dog taught her everything about how to train a dog for sprint distance. The dog also learned Katarína to never give up.
“She had to have a toe on the front leg amputated due to a wrong diagnosis and then infection. The prognosis was that she would never run again. 5 years later the dog is fighting the odds and winning medals like nothing happened, goes beyond the limits”.
