FAQ
Does my dog need rain gear?
Not all dogs are equal when facing wet and muddy weather. Some
dogs have water-repellent coats that shed moisture naturally, but others with
short or thin fur can quickly get soaked and chilled in wet conditions.
Even for water-loving dogs, staying dry means staying
comfortable. A waterproof dog jacket prevents your dog from getting drenched,
reducing chills and irritation from wet fur, mud, and dirt. Older dogs and
puppies are even more susceptible, as they struggle to regulate body
temperature effectively and are more prone to discomfort in wet conditions.
Signs your dog might need a raincoat:
- They shiver in rain or cold, wet weather
- Their fur soaks up water quickly
- They get muddy bellies and legs on walks
They spend a lot of time outdoors, training, or
working in wet conditions
No two dogs are the same, which is why having the right
rainwear makes all the difference. Learn more in our guide to dog raincoats.

How should the raincoat fit on my dog?
A properly fitting dog jacket covers the major muscle groups while still allowing full freedom of movement. It's important that the jacket is not overly tight, as this could impede movement and compress the fur, reducing your dog’s coat's natural ability to insulate.
For active wear, the jacket should reach the base of your dog’s tail. If it is meant for resting and recovery, it can be slightly larger to keep your dog well-covered while lying down.
All our jackets are available in multiple sizes equipped with adjustments at the neck, shoulders, chest, and tail, and leg straps to provide the most precise and personalized fit for your dog.
Can my dog wear it over their harness?
All our dog raincoats are designed with a leash portal to
connect to a regular harness underneath.
How to clean the raincoat and keep it waterproof?
To clean your dog’s waterproof raincoat and keep it performing, always follow the care instructions on the product label first. Remove dirt, secure buckles, fasteners, and zippers, then wash on a gentle cycle at 30°C (86°F) using a detergent made for waterproof fabrics only. Tumble dry on low heat to reactivate water repellency, and refresh with a waterproof spray when the fabric no longer beads water.
