The Trekking line harness CLIP’N™ is an alternative solution to our most awarded everyday harness for dogs who need gear that doesn’t go over their head.

Built on our proven Line harness design, refined over a decade, its remarkably lightweight, Y-shaped structure keeps your dog’s shoulders, armpits, and airways free for unrestricted movement. Available in multiple sizes with adjustable chest straps, it provides a tailored fit for every body type. Soft padding in all the right places prevents chafing and absorbs shocks.

The CLIP'N™ neck buckle offers a calm and quick on/off experience. It rests on thick padding to remove pressure points and connects via a hook-and-loop stabilizer that keeps the harness perfectly in place.

Crafted with premium materials like Hypalon reinforcements and Duraflex® buckles, the Trekking line harness CLIP’N™ withstands the heavy use dogs put gear through and remains a trusted piece of equipment for hiking, tracking, and running with your dog.

The leash clips to the strong steel D-ring on the back or to the reinforced anti-pull front loop (from size 3 up) when you want more control. Powerful 3M™ reflective piping ensures your dog stands out from every angle in low light.

FAQ

How to find the right size?

Measure your dog’s chest and neck circumference, then enter the numbers into our size finder on the product page. If your dog is between sizes, go one size up for dogs up to size 6, and one size down for size 7 and up.

How should the Trekking line harness CLIP’N™ fit?

1 - Neck

You should be able to fit at least two fingers vertically between the top of your dog’s neck and the harness for a medium-sized dog (sizes 4-6). A bit less for smaller dogs, more for bigger dogs.

Important!

Fingers on top of each other, between your dog’s neck and the harness.

2 - Chest

For medium-sized dogs, you should be able to fit at least two fingers vertically between your dog’s chest and the harness. Adjust on both sides, as even as possible. After initial adjustment for your dog, lock the chest straps by simply threading the end of the strap back through the slip lock.

3 - Armpits

Make sure there is room for your dog to move freely.

Can the Trekking line harness CLIP’N™ be used for pulling?

The Trekking line harness CLIP’N™ is an all-around harness designed for everyday use, but not for hard pulling. It works well for dogs that walk calmly, pull slightly, run alongside you, or need anti-pull guidance. For strong pulling or sports like canicross, bikejoring, and skijoring, we recommend a dedicated pulling harness like the Freemotion harness 5.0 or Rush harness. Find more information about which harness will suit your dog best in ourharness guide.

How to use the front loop as mild anti-pull control?

If you want your dog to pull less, you can attach the leash to the front attachment point. When your dog pulls, the tension on the leash will naturally guide them to turn back towards you, helping to manage their pulling behavior. Please note that this is a helping tool. This attachment point is not designed to completely eliminate pulling or directly teach the dog not to pull.

What is the difference between the Trekking line harness CLIP’N™ and the Line harness 5.0?

The Trekking line harness CLIP’N™ is an updated version of our Line harness 5.0, with the main difference being the release clip at the neck. The overall fit and functionality remain the same, but several materials have been upgraded: the polyester fabric is now even more durable and weather-resistant, the aluminum D-ring has been replaced by stronger steel, and we’ve updated the side clips to Duraflex® Mojave® Hexa. The reinforced front loop has a wider gap to make leash attachment faster and easier, while the belly loop attachment has been removed.
