The Løype belt pro is our vision of the ideal skijoring belt. Designed to feel like a second skin, it moves seamlessly with you, promoting your skiing technique.

Developed together with the world’s best athletes in sleddog sports, we upgraded the original skijoring Løype belt to the lightest and most ergonomic skiing belt possible. “The Løype belt was the first skiing-specific belt for competition use; the Løype belt pro takes it to the next level,” says Thomas Northug, multiple Norwegian champion in cross-country skiing.

The cut is specifically designed to sit on the hips and work with the body's natural mechanics during the skiing motion. We’ve strategically relocated the side loops to the back to eliminate any interference with your stride.

A fixed bungee leash attachment point positioned close to the body guarantees, smooth coordination with your dog, improving control. Quick-to-connect slim leg straps keep the belt in place during motion, while hip straps allow high adjustability. The belt includes a quick-release snap hook for swift opening and is suitable for racing.

Mesh fabric on the sides and our highly breathable Hexivent material on the back ensure maximum airflow for breathability and comfort.

What is the difference between the Løype belt pro and the Løype belt?

The Løype Belt Pro is an optimized version of the original Løype belt, designed to be lighter and more streamlined for enhanced performance.

The Løype belt pro features slimmer straps and smaller, lighter buckles, significantly reducing its overall weight. We kept our highly breathable Hexivent material on the bum and replaced it with Airmesh on the sides for a snug fit.

Instead of a solid pocket, we've introduced a stretch pocket that maintains the same capacity while minimizing bulk and weight.

Accessory loops, previously located on the sides, are now at the back. This modification adds a sturdy new loop, ideal for securing items like a poop scoop or towing a pulk or a child.

The front attachment system has been upgraded from aluminum buckles to a compact and secure tension lock, and the original leg straps with aluminum hooks have been replaced with Duraflex buckles.

Can the belt hold my big and strong dog(s)?

Yes! The tensile strength of the Løype belt pro is rated to 300 kg. The carabiner and materials are solid, so attaching a big, strong and eager competition dog is not a problem.

I prefer a different carabiner. Can I change it?

The belt comes with a quick-release, but can easily be replaced with other attachment hardware, for example theCaniX belt carabiner (not included). Check out ourSpare parts sectionfor more options.

How to adjust the Løype belt pro?

Your ski belt should sit low to distribute the force over your hips and bum. If the belt sits too high, you risk back pain and other injuries.

Start by fastening the clip in front and tighten it. The belt should sit comfortably over your hips.

Then, attach the leg straps and adjust them to sit close to your body, without being uncomfortable. The leg straps help keep the belt in position when you are moving.

At last, adjust the front piece. For skiing, this strap should sit close to your body to help you maintain balance.

Can I use the Løype belt pro for running with my dog?

The Løype Belt Pro is specifically designed for skijoring, accommodating the unique movements and demands of skiing with your dog. For running activities, we recommend theCaniX belt 2.0, which is tailored to the dynamics of running.

How much can the back loop handle?

The back loop is rated up to 145kg and can be used as a pulk attachment or towing a child.
