Historia de Marta

Marta
Nacido:
01 February 1999
Nacionalidad:
Estonia
Disciplinas:

Marta has always lived with dogs. When she was 10 years old, her family got a German shepherd puppy called Amore. Marta has always loved dogs and been interested in teaching them since she was a child.

«Even though I was very young and the puppy was soon bigger than me, my parents let me go to all the puppy classes by myself and do the work of teaching our new family member. At times, it was difficult. But it all worked out in the end, and we had a smart and eager GSD teenager at home».

Marta also loves nature and all domestic and wild animals. She took extra biology classes in a local "nature house" and came across a class called "About dogs". The teacher practiced agility with her dogs as a side hobby. She told Marta about every possible sport or activity people do with their dogs. Agility caught Martas attention, and she started to go to agility trainings. She started agility in 2010 when she was 11 years old.

«To me, agility is a big game. A game that I play with my dogs. It's all about trust, fun, believing and spending amazing time with my dogs. It cannot be forced, and it doesn't work if only one of us is enjoying it. The dog comes first! Then comes the ambitions and dreams, but the dog remains the most important factor in agility for me. If you love the dog, love the sport and don't put your goals in the first place - success will most likely follow».

Marta wanted a dog she could have the maximum fun with on the agility field.

«I had always admired my trainer's sheltie Chika. She was the most active and jolly little girl. I really wanted a dog similar to her. One day I got a message that Chika's sister had puppies, and there was a chance I could be the new owner of one of them.
Soon after, I had the most adorable little sheltie girl at home. I named her Jay. If I'd olny known what this decision, that 15-year-old Marta made, could mean! She changed everything».

«Jay has always loved working with me. She's a very happy and clown-like dog with a constant smile on her face. She is fast and can really work hard and concentrate if needed. Everything has been easy with her because she never gets upset at me, she loves thinking even when her brains are smoking, no new dog or new place will affect her jollyness. Jay is also the most amazing mother. She is the mother of my new sheltie puppy, Ace».
