This pulling harness for dogs is the developed version of our earlier x-back harness model. Since 2010 the Nansen nome harness was used by dog teams that won international medals both on sprint, middle and long distance races. At the same time there is always room for development, therefore our product developers and athletes worked side by side to optimize the fitting and materials. Extreme circumstances set high expectations for the equipment, therefore the Nansen nome harness 5.0 was tested thoroughly. Our mushers have used the harness on a distance that equals going 16 times around the World! It is also the harness Thomas Wærner used when he won the Iditarod in 2020.

The pulling-harness is designed to let the dog perform optimally without restricting movement or breathing. The Y-shaped front and flat chest piece utilizes all of the power that the dog puts into the harness. A straight section over the dog's neck provides full freedom of movement in the shoulder area. For dogs who are pulling to one side, this harness decreases the risk of strain because the back strap travels on the attachment point, which levels the harness and dog. A reflective flap in the neck makes it possible to see any irregularities in the dog`s movement, even if it`s dark.

Nansen nome harness 5.0 is available in half-sizes, which have the same back length but a larger neck circumference. The half-sizes have a red end-rope, full-sizes have a blue end-rope. The backstrap length on this harness varies from size to size. Therefore the total length of the harness is the same, regardless of size. This pulling harness is available in size 5-9,5.

The dog's wellbeing is essential for us when we are carefully designing every harness at Non-stop dogwear. Ergonomic design requires attention to detail. We always construct the inner lining so that all materials overlap without any hard edges. Harnesses are made from durable, tightly woven nylon and have closed cell foam padding to prevent water soaking in whilst maximising comfort. Every seam has its smooth side towards the dog's body, all to make sure the harness does not chafe the dog. All our harnesses have integrated 3M reflective materials for the dog's security. This anatomical design approach with freedom of movement and comfortable breathing is our trademark.
