It is no coincidence that the Line harness has been one of our best-selling dog harnesses throughout the years. Even though this harness was developed for activities like hiking and tracking, it can also be used for running, biking and skiing with dogs that do not pull on the leash.

The Line harness 5.0 has several attachment points for your dog’s leash, making this harness very versatile. In addition to the standard attachment point on the back, there is an attachment point for a tracking line under the chest. This allows your dog to move freely without having the line get tangled around its legs. From size 3 and up there is a third attachment point on the front for mild anti-pull control.

The Line harness 5.0 is an upgraded version of our original half harness, with optimized fit for your dog. The Y-shaped neck allows free shoulder movement and minimal breathing constraint.

Line harness 5.0 is adjustable around the chest. After the initial adjustment, it is easy to put the harness on and take it off by opening the solid Duraflex® buckles on each side. Lock the chest straps by simply threading the end of the strap back through the sliplock.

3M™ reflective details make your dog visible from several angles. All seams and edges on the inside of the harness are sewn so that the smooth side faces your dog’s body. The inner lining overlaps without any hard edges to prevent chafing. Our harnesses are made from durable, tightly woven nylon and have closed cell foam padding to prevent water seeping in. The Line harness 5.0 is reinforced with Hypalon on exposed areas.

This dog harness is available in the colors black, orange, blue, green, teal and purple, in sizes 1-8 (sizes 0-9 in black), to fit both small and big dogs.

FAQ

How do I find the right size?

Measure your dog's neck and chest circumference, then enter the numbers into our size finder tool on the product page to receive a recommended size for your dog.

If your dog falls between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size for small or medium dogs (up to size 6). For large dogs (size 7 and up), we suggest opting for the smaller size if they are in between sizes.

Can I use Line harness 5.0 for pulling?

The Line harness 5.0 is an all-round harness designed for everyday use. It is suitable for dogs that do not pull or for those that require a gentle anti-pulling tool, to help stop pulling. The Line harness 5.0 is not specifically intended for pulling activities like canicross, bikejoring, or skijoring, but it can be used in these activities if your dog runs alongside you. If your dog pulls strongly or even slightly, we recommend using one of our specialized pulling harnesses, such as the Freemotion harness 5.0 or the Rush harness, which are specifically developed for pulling. You can find more information about which harness will suit your dog best inour harness guide.

What is the loop under the harness for?

Your dog’s leash can be connected to the attachment point under your dog’s chest to avoid the line from getting tangled in its legs when doing activities like tracking.

How do I use the attachment point in front as mild anti-pull control?

If you want your dog to pull less, you can attach the leash to the front attachment point. When your dog pulls, the tension on the leash will naturally guide them to turn back towards you, helping to manage their pulling behavior. Please note that this is a helping tool. The attachment point is not designed to completely eliminate pulling or directly teach the dog not to pull.

How do I lock the adjustable chest straps?

After initial adjustment for your dog, lock the chest straps by simply threading the end of the strap back through the sliplock.

What is the difference between the Rush harness and the Line harness 5.0?

Both the Rush harness and Line harness 5.0 are lightweight short harnesses designed to promote natural movement during everyday activities.

The Rush harness is the preferred choice for dogs that pull or lean into their harness. Featuring Freemotion technology, it allows your dog to breathe without restrictions, whether they are light or strong pullers.

The Line harness 5.0 is ideal for a variety of activities where your dog walks or runs on a loose leash, or for free running. Its multiple leash attachment options make it highly versatile.
