How to teach your dog to live with other animals

Jule and Marc Prins do not just share their home with 13 racing dogs. They also have other animals like rabbits, chickens, horses and a pig. If you want to learn how so many dogs and other animals can live together in harmony, you get some expert tips in this Q&A session with the couple!
- All the animals are often together in the garden and even in the house. Our dogs even help us with chores like feeding the rabbits and picking eggs. We feel like we can trust them with the animals, but it wasn't always like that, Jule says.
Their first dog, Schoko, was an eager hunter. She would chase the ducks.
- Our solution was to put a leash on her to stop her when she wanted to run after the ducks. With a lot of patience, she understood that they were family too. We had to repeat the same process for every new animal that was brought into the pack, but it worked.
Starting with a puppy is a lot easier, according to Jule and Marc.
