It features a durable ripstop outer shell that is wind- and waterproof, providing robust protection against harsh elements.

The Long distance + jacket's smooth inner lining incorporates a heat-reflective membrane, retaining three times more heat than standard nylon fabric. This ensures your dog stays warm and recovers optimally while saving calories during rest periods.

Durable recycled PrimaLoft® Black Insulation Hi-Loft makes the jacket puffy for added comfort while remaining remarkably light and breathable. This material is easy to pack in a sled or backpack, making it ideal for long races and expeditions.

The jacket attaches easily and securely with two robust hook-and-loop fasteners over the chest and under the stomach, ensuring a good fit over a pulling harness. Its tailored design allows unrestricted movement and offers excellent insulation for the chest, shoulders, thighs, and waist.

An optional cover is included to protect male genitals, and reflective branding on the sides enhances visibility for safety at road crossings, busy trails, and mountainous terrain.

How do I choose the right size for my dog?

Measure your dog's back length from between the shoulder blades to the base of the tail and choose the size corresponding to the sizing chart. If you are unsure how to measure, watch the video posted next to our size-finder tool. If your dog is in between sizes, we recommend sizing down.

What is the difference between the Long distance + jacket and the Long distance jacket?

The Long distance + jacket is an upgraded version of the Long distance jacket with higher-end materials.

We have replaced the synthetic thermal insulation with PrimaLoft® Black Insulation Hi-Loft, making the jacket puffier and more comfortable for your dog when lying down. The inner liner now includes a heat-reflective membrane.

The reflective prints have been sized up to improve visibility at road crossings and in the mountains.

We changed the color of the Long distance + jacket to orange.

The fit and fastening system is identical for both jackets.

What is the difference between the Long distance + jacket and the Long distance light jacket?

The Long distance + jacket has PrimaLoft® Black Insulation Hi-Loft combined with a powerful heat-reflective membrane, while the Long distance light jacket has PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation. Out of these two jackets, the Long distance + jacket is the warmest. The Long distance + jacket has a shell with stronger rip-stop material. The great benefit of the Long distance light jacket is the weight- it’s light and easy to pack.

What is PrimaLoft® Black Insulation, and what are its benefits?

PrimaLoft® Black Insulation is made from 100% recycled fibers, offering high-loft insulation that gives the Long distance + jacket puffer look and feel. This insulation is breathable, lightweight, packable, and extra-durable, making it ideal for dog mushing.

What is the intended use for the velcro on the back of the Long distance + jacket?
